Is there a program which matches people with land/yards with people who know how to garden? in California?



I had heard about a program in CA San Jose which matches people who enjoy gardening with people with backyards suitable for a victory garden.

Can you remember the name or contact information?

I am looking for someone to plant and cultivate a victory garden. Will supply the food, water and treated soil and split the crop?

What grows best in a herb garden?



I am just starting to plant my garden. I decided to do a small herb garden. I would like some examples of herbs that are pretty easy to grow and that taste great. I cook alot with oregano, basil, rosemary, and parsley. Have any tips or any other suggestions for a great garden? Thanks.

Bamboo/cane shade for roof garden – design ideas?

I am planning to build a bamboo/cane-shade in my roof garden (or rather pay someone to to it :) I am looking for ideas… I’d like the shade to cover only part of the roof area to provide shade in summer (summers in Malta can be very hot!).
